Yup, I’m that teacher.
The kids know, if they have their phones out doing something they’ve not asked to do, I’ll take that phone away. But, not only will I take it, but they can expect their phones to be filled with random pictures around the school. One phone, I’d guess I took 2o0 pictures of different shoes and feet. Another phone, I took pictures of door knobs and electrical outlets. And today, I took pictures of posters on the walls, close up pictures of noses, eyes, letters, and words. Parents who find out about this, love it. Kids, they fear it, kind of! 🙂
Yup, I’m that teacher.
And I’m ok with it! 🙂

I love this! I might have to try this next time I confiscate a rogue phone!

Hee hee! I just started this brand of tomfoolery as I moved into the middle school. Both my 6th graders and 8th graders laugh at their classmates as they delete endless goofy pictures! 🙂

Love it! Sounds like a great way to bond with your students too.

Too funny! At least you know you’re that teacher!

I’ll bet they kind of love it. Even if they do not, they know the risk they are taking! Makes me think I could slice about my own ways I am “that teacher”.

Warning: don’t ever leave your phone unattended or allowed into hands of a student. Paybacks are hell! But I do love your approach.

Hehe! They all ready know that my phone is my phone and it should never be touched. However, some of them do get a kick about the silly things that they see on their friends’ phones. It always leads to “well don’t have your phone out!” Makes sense to me! 🙂

You are personally responsible for multiple phone around the world being filled with mundane pics. Thanks for a fabulous idea.
