Somedays….

I parked my truck in our garage wrong, so when I backed out, I crushed the passenger side rear view mirror.

Yup.

So, we called, took pictures, and they were getting a secondary-market mirror. Fine. I’ll pay the stupid tax for that. Then, we got a phone call. They ordered the wrong mirror, and the correct mirror for our truck was $75 more.

*sigh* Fine.

Get the mirror so my truck doesn’t look like a garage sale special.

Not having a truck meant I could not pick up my lawn mower, which I had taken back to a new mechanic because he didn’t fix everything.

Fine.

Let’s see if it can be fixed. That’s all I ask.

So, we got the truck today (after being told it would be ready last Friday, then Monday). The mirror looks great. Just like the one I destroyed.

So, that meant I could get my lawn mower. Much $$$$ later, my hope, it would drive more than 20 minutes at a time.

Guess what?

It killed after about 15 minutes.

Just like before.

Now, two mechanics have worked on this mower, having spent a whole lot of hours trying to fix something that apparently escapes them.

Some days, it’s hard to see the good in the world when the little crap just piles up around you.

Tomorrow will be better.

But today, today I just want a beer.

So I’ll go outside and water my garden and hope that nothing dies, because at this point, I’m expecting a big brown garden spot!

UPDATE: I didn’t click “post” last Tuesday, so there’s more. There’s always more.

I’m a little black rain cloud lately.

Last Wednesday, we loaded up the camper, the cats, and headed out to our daughter, who was moving from Ames to Ankney.

25 miles into the trip, it starts to overheat.

#lotsofprofanity

So, we limp into a car shop, and the two amazing techs come out, look around, and shrug their shoulders because it wasn’t leaking, it wasn’t showing anything that would give a hint to what is wrong.

We had the same experience with the dealer we bought the truck from because this has happened before.

However, it cooled down and stayed cool for the rest of the trip.

So, there’s that.

$$$ for the mower. $$$ for the truck. And now, $$$ for the dryer.

Maybe going back to school isn’t a bad thing because apparently, this is the summer of broken.

I’ll post the GoFundMe link later.
