It’s August 1st.
I’ve gone to two fairs with Brown Swiss in tow.
I’ve gone away twice with my wife.
I’ve mowed the lawn.
I’ve gardened.
I’ve tried to heal my foot.
I’ve tried to stay focused, but failed miserably.
And, it’s August 1st.
Saddle up boys and girls, the students are coming.

Oh, Darin, this is hilarious and so true! I have a long list of what I want to accomplish this summer. Now, that it’s August 1, I needed to take a re-evaluation of my goals. Fortunately for me, though, the students don’t come until the first week of September. However, I need to saddle up and get seriously focused for the next few weeks!
Bravo for getting a lot accomplished this summer anyway. All the best as your foot continues to heal.

🙂 Thanks, Denise! I had faint notions of being organized and focused…..HA! It will all come together, just like it always does! 🙂

Kinda crazy, how fast this summer has gone! I’ve been back at work for a week now, and my summer list, all the things I didn’t get done, is still screaming at me!

Yikes! We start two weeks from today, with kids in three weeks! Time for a few “oh crap” kinds of projects! 🙂

Sounds like a great summer. Is it really time for school to start already? And seriously…summer is the time to stay unfocused when you have to do it all school year!

Oh, I know, but I had hopes of being somewhat focused. Oh well, it is what it is! 🙂

Anh, focused is for when you are too old to do anything else but focus. 🙂

Great fun — two grandsons in 4-H (their County Fair outing is next week) doing pigs and chickens. Summer is for giving yourself an un-focus break.
