We’ve had three weeks of crazy, chasing our tail, oh my goodness I’m tired stuff go on.

There’s one last check off to do: move in our daughter to Iowa City.
This has been a long time coming, and she’s scared to death right now. Heck, we are more than a little nervous ourselves. This is a big page that’s going to be turned in all our lives. Our daughter, this is the beginning of a new chapter in her life. High school sucked for many reasons, and her hope is that the college experience moves her forward.
For us, it’s the first time in 20 years we’ve had us to, well, us. No diapers, no homework, no drama, no music contests, no ball games, no swim meets, all of it is gone.
So here’s the million dollar question:
#nowwhat
School will dominate our lives as it usually does, but what else? Movies? Netflix? Theater? The weed patch of a garden? Chickens? Heifers? (Nope, they are going back their farmer!! Woot!)
All questions I simply cannot answer.
So, tomorrow, as you are doing what you do, say a little prayer, send a little positive vibe whatever you do. The emotions will be flowing tomorrow and we’ll need every one of those slivers of goodness.
#thankyou

Just got home and yes, it was a huge day to say the least! Let’s home for a few more calm days in the near future! 🙂

Consider all the positive thoughts sent. That empty nest feels super empty at first. The muscle memory of their busy rumbles around for most of this first year. In the cracks you will start to notice a welcome calm. I hope that college will hold promise for the princess too.

Yup, we just got home, and for as small as this house felt three years ago, it feels awfully big right now. It will take some time to adjust, that’s for sure! 🙂
