You must be so proud…of both of them! I am clueless…is a brown Swiss the type of cow we see in the photo. It’s a lovely creature…so soft looking.
Did she raise it herself?

To answer your first question, yes, this is a Brown Swiss in the picture. It’s one of most gentle animals I’ve ever encountered. They are curious to a fault, playful, and intelligent! This is not one she raised. Our daughter was crowned Friday night, then came back Saturday as there was a state sale of nothing but Brown Swiss. There were animals there as young as two weeks, and as old as six years. We raise the little ones and after two years, they typically go back to the farmer. 🙂

Aw, so cute! And that is an impressive tiara.

Well, if you are the princess, you have to fit the part, down to the tiara! She loves it! 🙂

Proud dad, indeed! 🙂

When I saw the picture originally, I didn’t imagine that she was holding on to a cow. I have not lived in a farming area or been much involved with 4H. I love that you posted that picture. Opens up some new views for your readers.

Thank you! We’d gotten home late and I wanted to write about it, but this seemed so much more simple, yet more powerful than my words could have been! 🙂
