I’m not sure how WordPress sets this up, but this lesson stuck with me.
For me, it’s about organization. I wish I had learned or that someone would have taught me some organization when I was younger. As a teacher, I am buried in paperwork (grading, office work, etc) and it never slows down. I can usually keep up the first few weeks of each year, but after that, I simply cannot.
I sometimes think it is a personality flaw, that I’m not smart enough to keep myself in check. Others, it’s like I have some mental health issue (ADD, ADHD, etc) because I so distracted by things around me.
I know that I have squirrel moments constantly. I go to do one task, then, suddenly, am off doing something else. I know that my own brain works in mysterious ways. However, to be explictly taught organization would have been amazing. To be able to complete a task without being reminded would be great.
What about you? Are you organized? Did someone teach you or can you just get your stuff together without any issues? Or are you the one who has papers everywhere, who can’t sit at his/her/their desk?
Let me know in the comments!

Unless I write down what I have to do, nothing gets done properly. Because my brain is all over the place. Keeping a journal and a daily to-do list helped.

I learned organizational skills in the military. In officer candidate school they crammed more in each day than would fit. It taught me to set priorities and work on something until it was done. Years later, not much important falls through the cracks.

That would have been great in my younger years! I struggle with task completion and having something like that would have done me good! 🙂
