Hello my fine readers! š
#hola
Look at you, using Spanish now! š
I had another idea for a slice, but WordPress has come through again, with a prompt asking what three magic genie wishes I’d like to have.
#ohgoodie
I know! So, what three magic genie wishes would I want? Let’s play that game.
Wish #1
Clean our planet and make it sustainable. Our planet is in trouble. Not necessarily from climate change, though I think the weather continues to change because of some of the things we are doing. I feel like our planet is in trouble because we are taking it for granted. Between the plastics in our oceans and drinking water, the destruction of habitat, those who are food insecure and the food wasted, the species that have been driven to extintion or to the brink, and so many other things, this wish would correct our mistakes. Then, it would create a planet that could sustain what we are doing without being damaged. Fresh drinking water, safe rivers and lakes, oceans full of life, forests full of tress, and on and on, this wish would help us AND the creatures around us.

Hush. Selfish wish coming up.
Wish #2
Access to the funds to sustain my family forever, period. I don’t know how much more that would require, but that’s what I’d want. I’d want to money to allow my wife and I, our daughters, my brother and his family, my wife’s sisters and their respective families to all be sustainable. We’ve all made poor financial decisions and having this ability to erase those decision and give each family the ability to not worry about money, how cool would that be? The amazing part, imagine all the good that could be done. Whether through charity, service work, or just working in a place that brought you joy, wow. It’s a pretty sweet wish!

Ha! š
Ok, an honorable mention: I just asked my wife this question and she said, “To have your pant burst into flames every time you lie.”
#ohmy
She’s a spitfire, this is for sure!
So, if my planet is clean, my bank accounts full, what else is there?
World peace?
No hunger?
No daylight saving time?
What could it be?
Wish #3
I cannot deny that idea of world peace. A place where the money spent on weapons, vehicals, solider and support personal could be spent on education, food security, taking care of the less fortunate, and science? Amazing. The amount of goodwill that could be generated without having to blow things up would be earth changing for the planet, the people, and that environment. It’s a cheesy wish, but think of the resources that could be reallocated. The money that we in the United States spend on “defense” is mind boggling. Where could those funds be put to better use? Smarter people than I would put that together, like that would across the world.
So, there are my three wishes: cleaning the planet, funding my family, and world peace. They are an interesting lot, and I imagine that if I were to write this next year, they’d be different.
What do you think? Agree/disagree? What’s your list? I’d love to hear your wishes!
Until then, enjoy what you do, and do what you enjoy! š

We’ve got one planet and it seems like we are hell-bent on the destruction of it. Spending a wish that way makes to me!
Thanks for stopping by! š

I agree, we are headed for disaster unless makor changes are made. Have you ever heard of The Venus Project?

Darin, yes, indeed you have chosen three good wishes, and I’m not sure I could think of any better ones! Especially today–world peace is on my mind. Nice idea for a post, and I always enjoy your fun writing.

Every little bit of good will we put out there is a good thing, right? It’s easy to say “I want this” with a prompt like that one, but sometimes, we have to look a little further out! š
